haha ok i got a charahub account & drew some pictures for it
my characters are really
really
dumb
anyway here are some of them, sort of vaguely to scale with one another
ohhhh oh this is
really nice, i love these designs ʘ‿ʘ
>go to the games section
>looking through titles
>wait a minute
you know tony totally uses every single clichéd pick up line in the book on steve because steve hasn’t heard them yet steve is from the 40’s so tony goes around going “do you have a map? because i just got lost in your eyes” and steve is like wow tony you’re so clever how do you come up with these
meanwhile natasha is wondering what floor she would have to push them off of in order to ensure maximum injury while still making it seem like an accident
Ok, so I’ve finished both The Saga of Darren Shan and The Demonata after about three months and… I didn’t think it was POSSIBLE to love this author and his books even more than I did two months ago. Like. OH MY GOOODDD. He’s so brilliant. For so many reasons. But I need to make a character appreciation post or I’m going to explode.
The Demonata (in no particular order)
- Bec
- Dervish Grady
- Lorcan
- Connla (before he went all…you know)
- Kernel
- TIMAS BRAUSS!
- Beranabus
- Shark
- Juni Swan in Slawter
- Meera Flame
- Fiachna
- Drust
The Saga of Darren Shan (in no particular order)
- Steve Leopard/Leonard
- Larten Crepsley
- Kurda Smahlt
- Arra Sails
- Mika ver Leth
- Arrow
- Darius
- Alice Burgess
- Sam Grest
- Evra Von
- Shancus
- Hibernius Tall
- Madam Octa
- Rudi
- Streak
- (from Saga of Larten Crepsley) (early) Tanish Eul
- (“”) Wester Flack
- (“”) Malora
And favorite couples? They would have to be…
Dervish/Meera (or is it Meera/Dervish? :p), Beranabus/Bec, Lorcan/Ronan, Grubbs/Kernel, Shark/Timas, Larten/everyone, Kurda/Darren, Wester/Kurda, and that’s all I can think of for now…
Also that character development for Kirilli? SO GOOD. While he didn’t end up making my favorite characters list, I was able to go from disliking his character to appreciating and respecting him.

How bloody awesome is this?
People on my follow list can disregard this since I doubt anyone really follows Darren Shan.
This has probably been brought up, but any else feel that the world where the Saga of Darren Shan and The Demonata series has some significant crossovers at least in regard to the werewolves of both series?
They’re permanantly changed feral beings who lose all traces of human emotion when they’re transformed. The wolfman in Cirque du Freak is basically a textbook Grady clan werewolf.
It could be. I mean, there are several universes, as The Old Creatures explained. Maybe the Cirque IS in one of those universes and, somewhere, somehow, a Grady werewolf got sucked into.
“I have never cried as much reading a book as I have throughout the Darren Shan series. The first time was with Gavner and at the end with Darren, then there was Bill-E in the Demonata books, but when Larten Crepsley died, I had to put the book down and cry for a solid 15 minutes before I could keep reading.”
Clearing my throat, to a chorus of good-natured groans from Kernel and Bec, I chant solemnly. “In the beginning Grubbs created the heavens and the earth, and everything was dark. Then Grubbs said, ‘Let there be light!’”
And there was light.
Coolio!

im going to post this separately because i actually really like how it turned out
also because meera and timas are perfect
